This service activity aims to contribute knowledge to teachers to be able to understand and implement computational thinking in the subjects they are taught. The lack of trained personnel and the lack of understanding in implementing computational thinking gives the Bebras Bureau the opportunity to contribute. This is in line with Mendikbud's desire to implement computational thinking in the children's education curriculum as a provision for more innovative learning to answer the needs of the industrial era 4.0. Computational thinking is the process of thinking in formulating a problem and its solution so that the solution can be represented in a form that can be executed by an information-processing agent. The implementation of the service was carried out on the Mathematics subject teacher at Nurul Islam Mataram Elementary School. The implementation stages consist of planning, preparation, socialization, training, and evaluation. The results of the evaluation showed that most of the teacher participants agreed to apply the results of the training to students and most participants agreed to join the follow-up programs from Bebras. It is hoped that this activity can run continuously and be supported positively by the parties involved.
The problem faced by target partners (target schools) is the low ability of students to solve problems. In fact, the problem-solving ability is one of the skills that must be possessed in the 21st century. This community service aims to improve teacher pedagogical competence in implementing Computational Thinking learning as well as assistance in its implementation. The method used is an educational approach with stages, identification of target schools, socialization of activities, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The result of this activity was an increase in teacher knowledge in computational thinking by 95% and teacher interest in applying computational thinking to subjects by 92%. The conclusion of this activity is known that community service partners have increased their knowledge of problem-solving methods using a computational thinking approach and can apply them in mathematics learning.
The Hospitality industry is increasingly improving its services to be able to grow as a tourism sector grows. The indication of the growth of the industry can be seen from the rise of international chains that enter or participate in developing their business in Indonesia. In principle, the Chain Hotel is a group of Hotels that is a hotel chain with services that are equal after star hotel equivalence. For that hotel owners who will join a chain of hotels that have been formulated by the chain hotels and usually refer to standards that apply globally / globally. The terms of information technology, chain hotels have implemented standards that follow World standards. This is a technology that is leading to the information system. This is a concern of every hospital industry player to implement. Thus this research is expected to provide infrastructure standards for hotels, especially according to the appropriate ANSI / TIA / EIA standards. The Research Methodology used a continuous development improvement cycle where the cycle is formed into 4 stages, namely Research Formulation and Requirements Analysis, Problem Design and Solutions, Analysis and Discussion of Formulation of Solutions and Suggestions in Framework of Continuous Improvement. The results of this study formulate a template and the contents of a network infrastructure project document in the form of a structured caling system (SCS) and ANSITIA /EIA
The main thing in the development of education is the quality of education. One of the determinants of the quality of education is counseling guidance. The problem so far is that most students who have problems feel embarrassed in doing counseling directly to the BK teacher and usually consult with their friends so that they cannot solve the problems they face. This makes it difficult for BK teachers to deal with student problems, so we need a system that can help and solve problems experienced by students. The purpose of this study is to design an expert system that overcomes the problems suffered by students using the certainty factor method that can provide solutions based on the types of problems suffered by the students. The expert system development methodology in this study uses the waterfall methodology which consists of needs analysis, design, coding, and testing. The result of this research is in the form of an expert system application for counseling problem students who apply a web-based certainty factor method that can make it easier for students to find out the types of problems they face based on the problems symptoms entered. This study concludes that the expert system application that was built has a good level of convenience based on the results of usability testing using the SUS (System Usability Scale) method of 76.5%.
