Although several approaches have been explored for the removal of dyes and other toxic materials from water as well as the entire environment, notwithstanding, researchers/scientists are still pursuing novel, low-cost, and eco-friendly biosorbents for the effective removal of such contaminants. Herein, clove leaves (CL) were utilized as a biosorbent for the sequestration of malachite green (MG) from a water-soluble solution. The CL was subsequently activated using potassium hydroxide (KOH) and characterized using the FTIR and FESEM to determine the functional groups on the activated clove leaves (CL-KOH) and the morphology of the adsorbent. The adsorption of MG was observed to be relatively dependent on the dosage of sorbent utilized, initial MG concentration, and sorption process contact time. The adsorption process of MG to CL was ideally described using the Dubinin–Radushkevich and Elovich models with the determination of maximum sorption capacity of approximately 131.6 mg·g-1. Furthermore, the thermodynamic parameters calculated showed that the adsorption of MG to the adsorbent was exothermic with the process involving physical sorption as well as chemical sorption processes with negligible adsorption energy. In conclusion, the study has revealed that the CL is a cost-effective biosorbent with high adsorption efficiency for the sequestration of MG from a water-soluble solution and can be recycled for further usage.
Universitas XYZ Madiun memiliki salah satu fakultas yaitu Fakultas Teknik. Fakultas teknik masih tergolong baru di Perguruan Tinggi (PT) XYZ Madiun karena berdiri tahun 2017. Berdasarkan amanat UU No 20 tahun 2003, dosen memegang fungsi strategis sehingga Fakultas Teknik aktif mendorong bagi para dosennya melakukan studi lanjutan. Dosen di lingkup fakultas teknik rata-rata masih berpendidikan magister sehingga mempengaruhi terhadap hasil akreditasinya. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya upaya dalam pengambilan keputusan bagi dosen untuk melakukan studi lanjutan. Analisis Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) diperlukan dalam pengujian pengambilan keputusan. Hasil pengujian MADM terdapat 5 kriteria dan 76 % dari jumlah keseluruhan dosen berkeinginan melakukan studi lanjutan. Pada penelitian ini juga dilakukan analisis risiko saat pengambilan keputusan studi lanjutan. Hasil identifikasi risiko terdapat 12 indikator risiko. A rapid growth of textile industry creates a new problems on environment, one of those is the presence of dye waste. Methylene blue is one of the dyes which is toxic to living things, one of those triggers cyanosis for human and bother photosyntesis of algae. Therefore, it needs the effort to reduce, one of those is by adsorption. This study aims to determined the effect of dosage adsorbent variation and contact time variation to adsorb methylene blue. Adsorption is an adsorbate molecule absorption process that occurs on the surface of the adsorbent. This study used fly ash from PG. Pagottan and has been activated by NaOH. Measure method of this study using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry to measure concentration of methylene blue at maximum wavelenght. Based on data, NaOH-activated fly ash and non-activated fly ash following Langmuir isotherm adsorption, it mean a monolayer site is formed. Adsorption capacity also increase after activation, it about 21,74 mg/g to 23, 25 mg/g. Based on the study fly ash has a potential as a new adsorbent.

In general research will be conducted to use a calculation model of mathematics for scheduling optimizations cleaning on heat exchanger network (HENs and it can be applied in the chemical industry. Fouling increase to the function of time, in this study model mathematics developed to determine many the act of cleaning and time where the money to be cleared industry that operational can optimally.
Plastic bottles can be useful as an alternative energy raw material. Increasing knowledge among partners can reduce the circulation of plastic waste in the environment. Community service activities are carried out through lectures, demonstrations, and group discussions. The results of the z test from community service show that the z- value (5.86) z-table (1.96) and P-value = 0.000 0.005. The results of testing for community service show that receiving H1 where there is an impact before and after community service.
