The purpose of the research was to study the structure of MPG-7 fine-grained graphite by X-ray inspection and scanning electron microscope investigation methods. We carried out a structural and local chemical analysis of inhomogeneities occurring in graphite blanks. According to the data obtained, we changed technical documentation for the incoming quality control of MPG-7 graphite blanks and details.
By X-ray diffraction analysis and Raman spectroscopy, we studied samples of fine-grained graphite MPG-7 with detected chemical and structural defects. We determined the effect of structural and chemical defects on the micro- and macrostructure of graphite and estimated its crystallinity depending on the type of defects detected.
Rubbery heat-shielding coatings (RHSCs) are widely used in the aircraft industry and in rocket building. The chemical composition and processing methods of RHSCs are similar to those of general-purpose rubbers. However, the presence of special additives in their composition ensures increased heat resistance and thermal stability of articles. One of the important aspects of formation of a high-quality heat-shielding coating is the choice of anti-adhesive lubrication applied to the forming surface of the compression mould.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
