1994) Effect of poling regimes on domain structure and properties of PbTiO3-based piezoceramics, Ferroelectrics, 160:1, 107-114 To link to this article: http://dx.Samples of piezoelectric PT-1 ceramics based o n PbTiO, modified by Ca, Nd, Bi and Mn have been studied. The poling d.c. and strong a x . field effect on the domain structure and electrical and physical properties (E&/E,, sf;, d,,, d,, , anisotropy d3Jd,,) has been determined. The formation of closed domainstructures with laminar series of 90" domains was established for "virgin" ceramics. The orientation of 90" domain boundaries normal to the electric field direction was found to take place under the strong ax. field. The further application of the d.c. poling field leads, mainly, to 180" domain reorientations that manifests itself in the rapid increase of piezoelectric coefficients and anisotropy under the relatively weak poling fields. It was established that the increased piezoelectric anisotropy is due to 180" and 90" domain reorientations.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
