Feature Selection is one of the preprocessing steps in machine learning tasks. Feature Selection is effective in reducing the dimensionality, removing irrelevant and redundant feature. In this paper, we propose a new feature selection algorithm (Sigmis) based on Correlation method for handling the continuous features and the missing data. Empirical comparison with three existing feature selection algorithms using UCI data sets shows that the proposed system is very effective and efficient in selecting the feature set.
The dynamic changing nature of network topology makes any node in MANET to leave and join the network at any point of time. There are many routing protocols that establish the routes between the nodes in the network. The control towards the management of the nodes in the MANET is distributed. This feature does not give assurance towards the security aspects of the network. There are many routing attacks caused due to lack of security. The routing attack addressed in this paper is the black hole attack. The Black hole attack is that where a malicious node advertises itself as it is having the optimal route to the destination. Most of the Routing protocols do not address the issues of the routing attack. This paper describes a solution strategy which will overcome the black hole attacks in MANETs. The proposed solution is that the nodes authenticate each other by issuing security certificate in digital form to all the other nodes in the network. The proposed method is to be adapted on DSR protocol .This method is capable of detecting and removing black hole nodes in the MANET.

A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is a wireless communication network with minimum physical infrastructure with diverse communication applications. Mobility and Multihopping are the main characteristics of MANET. Multipath routing protocols establish multiple routes between nodes. The construction of multiple routes should be done with minimum overhead and bandwidth consumption. The purpose of this article is to analyze the characteristics and functionality of various multipath routing protocols and to do the performance comparison between these multipath routing protocols to choose the best among them to use in large networks.
A MANET is a collection of mobile nodes by wireless links forming a dynamic topology without any network infrastructure such as routers, servers, access points/cables or centralized administration. The communication within the network is facilitated through a protocol which discovers routes between nodes. The two major classifications of routing protocols are unipath and multipath. In this paper, the performance comparison of widely used on-demand unipath and multipath routing protocols such as AODV and AOMDV is carried out in terms of variation in pause time and network load under RWM in CBR Traffic. These protocols have been selected for simulation due to their edges over other protocols in various aspects.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
