Excitation functions of the one-and two-particle evaporation reactions 160(7Li, x~) and 160(7Li, xyT) , x, y=n, p, d, t and c~ have been measured in steps of 100-160 keV for ELi=4-10 MeV. All yield curves were rather smooth and could well be described by statistical model calculations taking into account one-and two-particle decays. No significant deviations of the total fusion cross section from the reaction cross section as given by the optical model were observed. A critical comparison is performed with earlier data of the same reaction taken at slightly higher energies where drastically reduced fusion cross sections were reported.
The cross section for the production of ω mesons in proton-proton collisions has been measured in a previously unexplored region of incident energies. Cross sections of σ = (7.5 ± 1.9) µb and σ = (30.8 ± 3.4) µb (with 20% systematic uncertainties) were extracted at ǫ = 92 MeV and 173 MeV excess energy above the ω threshold, respectively. The angular distribution of the ω at ǫ = 173 MeV is strongly anisotropic,
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
