Unusual Alkylation of 3-Thiolene-1,1-dioxides.-Reaction of thiolene-1,1-dioxides (I) and (IV) with stannylmethyl iodide (II) gives the expected α-alkylated products (III) and (V) , resp., whilst similar reaction of sulfolene (IV) with α-stannylbenzyl bromide (VII) results in an unusual alkylation of the methyl group in the β-position (→ (VIII)). Moreover, a double bond isomerization competes with the alkylation in the reactions of sulfolene (V). -(POLUNIN, E. V.; BRUNOVLENSKAYA, I. I.; USHAKOVA, E. N.; KASHIN, A. N.; Zh. Org.
