[1] The dynamics of the solitary nonlinear internal gravity waves (IGW), as well as traveling ionospheric disturbances (TID) of the electron density excited by IGW at the heights of the ionosphere's F region, for conditions close to those of the F layer assuming that the source of initial perturbation has the pulse character are studied. In particular, the cases when the solitary IGW and TID propagate in the regions with sharp gradients of the ionospheric parameters, such as electron density, temperature, scale heights for the ions and neutral particles, etc., are considered.Citation: Belashova, E. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
