The paper presents a united power system optimal power flow technique with network constraints. A nonlinear programming algorithm is used -the interior point method (IPM). To model a network, a nonlinear model in polar coordinates is applied. Line group (cross section) flow constraints, current load constraints, voltage constraints are taken into account. Complex optimization elements are supplemented, including selecting transformer taps, reactive power supply voltage modules. The technique proposed is illustrated by practical results.Index terms -optimal power flow, interior point method
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
