At present, there are odd, unsystematised data in the scientifi c and technical literature on the volatility of certain rubber mix ingredients, with no distinction made between volatility processes due to loss of water, evaporation of the main substance, and chemical reactions [1]. Of great scientifi c and practical interest is the question of determining the volatility of ingredients directly from the composition of rubber mixes at different stages of their preparation and processing. In this case, volatility, as such, will be complicated by diffusion processes and processes of interaction between ingredients, including rubbers and fi llers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
