A new complex based on palladium (Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 @TiO 2 @Schiff base@Pd(0)) as a multifunctional photocatalyst has been successfully prepared using a facile method. Different techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), energy dispersive spectrum (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were applied for characterization of nano photocatalyst structure. The magnetic nano photocatalyst showed excellent catalytic activity in the Suzuki coupling reaction under visible light irradiation. This core-shell magnetic nano photocatalyst could separate using a magnetic field from the reaction mixture and reused without a significant decrease in catalytic activity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
