In the present paper the main results of the pre-operational studies related to the energization maneuver of a Half-Wavelength Transmission Line (AC-Link), are presented. The simulations were performed in PSCAD with actual Brazilian system data. Specifically the following studies were performed: electromagnetic transient studies of energization maneuver considering no fault and the occurrence of fault along the trunk; dynamic analysis of generator units that will energize the AC-Link; TRV on the circuit-breaker that will energize the trunk. The main conclusion is that the AC-Link energization experiment can be implemented without jeopardizing or causing time-life reduction of the equipment involved in the experiment, which comprises the generator unit that will energize the trunk, the step-up transformer, the arresters that will be kept during the experiments, as well as the circuit-breaker that will energize and then trip the AC-Link.
SYNOPSIS -Knowledge of soil properties is essential for various types of spatial planning, notably to linear infrastructure that can reach hundreds of kilometers, such as transmission lines. This becomes relevant in a context where spatial information is restricted, as is the case of eastern Amazon. The objective of this study was to map the soil resistance to penetration (N SPT ) based on geomorphometric variables. Models were developed through decision tree algorithms. The best model obtained showed a Kappa equal to 0.58 (moderate agreement) and indicated that in terrain with altitudes exceeding 21.7 m predominate higher values of N SPT . On land with elevations below 21.7 m and relative height less than 7.0 (dimensionless value), lower values of Geotecnia n.º 137 -julho/julio 2016 -pp. 125-139
The main idea of this project is to feed small loads along the lines of the TBE - Brazilian Energy Transmission with retreat directly from power lines without any physical contact. This paper presents the system for extracting small powers of the transmission line through electromagnetic effects. Initially, the mathematical modeling of extraction is presented, to then show some aspects of construction and prototype control. Some results of laboratory tests of the prototype are presented with various operating situations analysis. This equipment was installed experimentally in one of the lines of TBE and the current results are shown in this paper.
