The subject of this paper is metamodeling and its application in the field of scientific research. The main goal is to explore the possibilities of integration of two methods: questionnaires and decision trees. The questionnaire method was established as one of the methods for data collecting, while the decision tree method represents an alternative way of presenting and analyzing decision making situations. These two methods are not completely independent, but on the contrary, there is a strong natural bond between them. Therefore, the result reveals a common meta-model that over common concepts and with the use of metamodeling connects the methods: questionnaires and decision trees. The obtained results can be used to create a CASE tool or create repository that can be suitable for exchange between different systems. The proposed meta-model is not necessarily the final product. It could be further developed by adding more entities that will keep some other data.
ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system represents the largest, most complex and most demanding business information system that organizations implement, which is a big step ahead of individual (i.e. department) applications and information systems that have prevailed in the past. Today, when the world is dramatically dependent on the data, the need and use of the ERP systems are steadily increasing. In the last ten years, the most important technology associated with the redesign and standardization of the business processes in terms of best practices were ERP systems. In this paper, a comprehensive review of published articles in various journals on the topic of ERP systems in the period 2010-2015 has been elaborated. All processed papers have been indexed in Web of Science (WoS) database. Since the academic knowledge about ERP systems reached a certain level of maturity, this paper presents the bibliographic review of works in the ERP systems field and other related areas.Analysis of the literature indicates that more and more various research disciplines contribute to the development of the field of ERP systems. Therefore, it is expected that the future area of research related to the ERP system depends on technical and technological progress, and sophisticated business ideas that include functionality that are currently outside the ERP system.
In this paper it is described aspects of standardisation of information security and its implementation in banking and insurance companies in countries of Western Balkans. In terms of approaching the standards of EU, one of the areas that need to be fully justified is the information security. It has been identified and applied a new dual methodology which covers measurement of same variables of information security into two opposite populations. Authors identify banking and insurance sector as a key sector for research due to sensitivity of financial data and information that these companies work with. Key obstacles in implementation of information security come from managers who consider that existing level of information security is on much higher level than it actually is. The authors have identified intensity of perception of information security and gap in perception between managers of financial institutions and auditors, and rank of significant properties of information security. Factor analyses were conducted and four factors were identified which show managers' perception of information security. Also, the authors have identified attributes of marketing aspects of information security and market potential of information security of banking and insurance sector in countries of Western Balkans.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
