This paper presents the developed MATLABbased simulation environment used to evaluate the cooperative spectrum sensing in the simulated channel conditions. Four different channel models can be set up between the primary user and individual secondary users: PedA, PedB, VehA and VehB models. Two types of detectors -the energy detector and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov-based statistical detector have been implemented and then used for the evaluation on the two types of transmitted signals -the analogue FM signal and the digital 8PSK signal. The simulator has also been used in order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the cooperative approach over the spectrum sensing via the single devices.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
