Rhodium-Catalyzed Hydroaminomethylation of Cyclopentadiene. -Saturated C 6-cyclopentylmethyl amines are obtained in a single step using the homogeneous catalyst Rh(II) octanoate dimer without additional phosphorus ligands under mild reaction conditions. The method is found to be suitable for both cyclic and non-cyclic amine substrates. The careful adjustment of the syngas ratio and the choice of the solvent can suppress the unwanted dimerization of the cyclopentadiene. -(BEHR*, A.; LEVIKOV, D.; NUERENBERG, E.; RSC Adv. 5 (2015) 75, 60667-60673, http://dx.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
