Abstract-The article refers to examinations conducted at Higher Bank School in Poznan and in Gdansk and at University of Defence in Brno, on the field of internal security undergraduate studies, by which students of the 6. semesters were encompassed. Aim of examination was establishing, whether Colleges fulfil a duty of educating managers of Security studies across the leadership competence range.
The article refers to research conducted at War Studies University in Warsaw and at Defences University in Brno amongst bachelor's degree students of the sixth semester of full-time studies studying in the fields related to security. The research aim was to identify leadership competence of the students.
Contemporary armed conflicts are characterized by the volatility and unpredictability of activities that may be surprising in terms of scale, location and time. In the war, especially in the battle for air control, the enemy would strive to destroy the military airfields. The question then arises: is there a possibility to strengthen or to take over some of their tasks to prepare for the rapid neutralization of the resulting "cracks" in the logistics system. One of the possible solutions is the contracting of various logistic services on the civil market. The article describes the essence of outsorcing, characterises the military airport and identifies the capabilities of civil logistics companies. In conclusion is presented the list of suggested solutions the use of civilian companies for military airports.
Differences in approach to IT support within one of the most important organization is astonishing. Within less than two decades it had transformed from local support based on a local IT components and local policies of support as well as local standards throughout the one consolidated approach based on a best practices taken from commercial market-ITIL, where IT support started to be defined for a whole organization, services became clearly defined, used had become the most important in the chain of support, standards became common for the NATO-not for one Headquarter from NATO, finishing on a FMN-environment in which exchange of information within allied forces is possible in a real time… these are the most important changes taking place in front of our eyes. The approach to the IT support and usage had finally changed from situation in which IT was treated as some kind of a less important tool to improve the way of day-today work to the main solution/environment that gives possibility to rapidly improve the availability of knowledge everywhere it is needed in a time. That knowledge nowadays may mean thousands of lives of people if we take into consideration kind of activity that NATO is prepared for. Therefore, there is a strong need to keep the direction of implementation the latest solutions to permanently improve IT within military organization. That is also very interesting to take lessons learned from that kind of organizations and try to adjust them to civilian environment.
Abstract-Critical infrastructure has a crucial role in the functioning of the state and the lives of citizens by providing social or economic conditions for development and security. Therefore, it can be assumed, that the state for its smooth develop needs solutions which can guarantee the necessary level of protection which are essential to objects being included in a critical infrastructure of the state. This article assesses elements of the critical infrastructure of the state were as well as identified the most probable threats of terrorist attacks. In conclusion introduced the Critical Infrastructure Protection System to counteract terrorist threats.
