Abstract. The article deals with the ways of application of automatic speech recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology to Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) systems. Speech technology can be effectively used for such methodological purposes as pronunciation training, drilling communication skills, checking students' vocabulary and training listening comprehension skills. Despite some limitations, it is now possible to apply different types of speech technology to teaching which is effective for simplification of teaching process realization. Integration of ASR to a CALL system developed by Speech Technology Center is presented in the article.
