Irrigation viability for sugarcane production in the municipalities of Araçatuba and Piracicaba Water is a natural resource, exhaustible and necessary for the survival of all living beings. Through the search for awareness, quantitative and qualitative conservation of water and the rationality and balance of its use, the objective of this study is to present an economic analysis for the implementation of the irrigation system in sugarcane sugarcane in the regions of Araçatuba and Piracicaba, located in the state of São Paulo (SP), for the period from 2013/2014 to 2017/2018. As well as to investigate the possibility of installing this system in the sugarcane fields and, finally, to present the willingness of sugarcane producers to pay for water use, that is, the shadow price of water. As a result, it was found, through the economic analysis of sugarcane plants, that it is possible to implement the irrigation system in the regions of Araçatuba and Piracicaba. However, due to the limited water availability of the regions, it is only advantageous to irrigate if the 100% of the water deficit of the crop is used. Given that this way the producer is more willing to pay for the use of water. Analyzing the scenario of application of the 50% blade of sugarcane water deficit, in two harvests in the Araçatuba region, the shadow prices were negative and in the Piracicaba region only one crop obtained the same balance. Indicating that during these periods the producer's willingness to pay for water use would be zero. The shadow price found for the water used in sugarcane production in the region of Araçatuba with a simulation of 100% of the water deficit of the crop,
