Resumo. Pequenos geradores de resíduos da construção civil são responsáveis pela maior parte dos resíduos gerados num município. Fruto de reformas e pequenas obras estes resíduos se não geridos adequadamente impactam o meio ambiente. Neste trabalho foram investigadas as informações disponibilizadas pelas prefeituras municipais de todas as capitais brasileiras e do Distrito Federal aos geradores de resíduos de construção. Por meio da análise de websites e aplicativos foram verificadas e comparadas as informações com desejável para uma adequada comunicação. Observou-se que a oferta de informações pelas prefeituras municipais está aquém do necessário. A prefeitura de Porto Alegre atingiu o maior grau de conformidade (71%), enquanto os Municípios de Cuiabá e Rio Branco atingiram o menor (5%). Conclui-se pela necessidade das prefeituras municipais aprimorarem suas estratégias de comunicação e educação ambiental junto aos munícipes, pequenos geradores de resíduos de construção civil. Small generators of construction waste: Municipal governments and the provision of information.Small construction waste generators account for most of the waste generated in a municipality. The result of renovations and small works this waste if not properly managed impact the environment. This work investigated the information provided by the municipalities of all Brazilian capitals and the Federal District to generators of construction waste. Through the analysis of websites and applications, information with adequate communication was verified and compared. It was observed that the provision of information by the city halls falls short of what is necessary. The Municipality of Porto Alegre reached the highest degree of conformity (71%), while the Municipalities of Cuiabá and Rio Branco reached the lowest (5%). It is concluded by the need for municipalities to improve their strategies for communication and environmental education with the citizens, small generators of construction waste.
