Oryctes rhinoceros (Coleoptera: Scarabidae) atau dikenal sebagai kumbang tanduk merupakan hama yang cukup penting di perkebunan kelapa sawit, terutama bila menyerang tanaman belum menghasilkan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji keefektifan orynet trap terhadap hasil tangkapan kumbang tanduk, serta pengaruhnya terhadap intensitas kerusakan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan membandingkan perangkap feromon + jaring (Orynet trap) dengan feromon+insektisida polidor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah O. rhinoceros yang tertangkap pada perlakuan feromon+perangkap jaring (orynet trap) lebih banyak daripada feromon+insektisida polidor. Tidak terjadi penambahan intensitas kerusakan tanaman setelah perlakuan feromon+jaring (Orynet trap), sebaliknya intensitas kerusakan tanaman meningkat sebesar 11,9 – 18,8% pada perlakuan feromon+insektisida polydor. Diharapkan, penelitian ini akan bermanfaat sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk pengendalian O. rhinoceros di perkebunan kelapa sawit. Kata kunci : Kelapa Sawit, O. rhinoceros, Orynet Trap
The aim of this research are to know significance interaction between Trichoderma and cow manure for oil palm pre-nursery seedlings growth, to know the best dosage of Trichoderma for oil palm pre-nursery seedlings growth, and to know the best dosage of cow manure for oil palm pre-nursery seedlings growth. This research was conducted at education and research site (KP2) Institut Pertanian Stiper Yogyakarta, Maguwoharjo, Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region. Research location altitude is 118 m asl. This research was carried out in April – June 2021. This research used Completed Random Design that consist of 2 factors. First factor was Trichoderma dosages namely 0 (control), 20, 40, and 60 g/polybag. Second factor was cow manure dosages namely 0 (control), 200, 600, and 1,000 g/polybag. The results showed that there is no significance interaction between Trichoderma and cow manure for all of parameters of oil palm pre-nursery seedlings growth. Trichoderma dosage 20 g/polybag is the best for stem diameter, fresh weight canopy, and dry weight roots parameters. Cow manure dosage 200 g/polybag is the best for seedlings height, leaf number, fresh weight canopy, dry weight canopy, fresh weight roots, and leaf area parameters.
This study aims to determine the type of Trichoderma fungus that can inhibit the growth of G. boninense and determine the percentage of inhibition of Trichoderma on the growth and development of G. boninense. This research was conducted at the Central Laboratory of the STIPER Agricultural Institute Yogyakarta in February-March 2022. G. boninense samples were taken from three different plantation locations belonging to residents of Aek Paing Atas Village and Aek Paing Bawah Satu Village, Kec. Rantau Utara, Kab. Labuhan Batu and Aek Janji Village, Kec. Rantau Selatan, Kab. Labuhan Batu, North Sumatra. Trichoderma samples were taken from Naga Soppah Village, Naga Harjo Village and Bahung Kahean Village. The research method used is descriptive by identifying antagonistic (Trichoderma) and pathogenic (G. boninense) fungi. Data on the percentage of inhibition of fungi were analyzed quantitatively. Fungi macroscopic and microscopic characterizations were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the Trichoderma fungus that could inhibit the growth of G. boninense was T. harzianum. The highest percentage of inhibition power of T. harzianum (Naga Soppah Village) against G. boninense (Aek Paing Bawah Satu village) was 30%.
