The initial action in patients with blood glucose levels who experience a head injury determines the outcome in the hospital. Patients who cannot maintain their blood glucose levels within the first 24 hours of treatment can cause a bad outcome, in the end, even increasing the mortality rate due to blood glucose levels. The population in this study were all patients with high blood glucose levels who suffered head injuries in the Emergency Room (IGD) of H. Adam Malik Hospital in Medan and used purposive sampling so that 40 patients selected for high blood glucose levels with a head injury. Results: Based on the tabulation result using chi-square test shows that mortality was more prone to occur in patients who had blood glucose levels> 145 mg/dl with p-value 0.00 and odds ratio of 0.18. Conclusion: So in conclusion, a severe head injury patients who have blood glucose levels > 145 mg/dl are prone to death but do not deny mortality in patients who have blood glucose levels <145 mg/dl due to a severe head injury
The purpose of this study was to dig deeper into all matters related to the occurrence of stress on practicing doctors at Hospial Dr Komang Makes Belawan. This research is a qualitative research. The research instrument is the researcher himself who is subjective, so the validity of the data obtained is checked by triangulation techniques, that is the addition of time, source triangulation and triangulation of collection methods. Informants are practicing doctors, hospital medical committees and family practicing doctors. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Hubberman method. The results showed that it was true that there had been stress on practicing doctors at Hospital Dr Komang Makes Belawan. The reason is that the workload is too dense plus the age of the doctor who is approaching retirement, causing excessive fatigue. Stress that occurs shows varied symptoms, ranging from mild to severe. To reduce the stress that arises, doctors use coping methods such as watching tv, sleeping, telling stories to friends or family, taking vacations, caring for plants and pets. Hospital management is trying to reduce the stress of doctors by increasing the number of honorary doctors to help doctors practice during working hours. It is hoped that with this additional doctor the practice has more time to rest, so as to reduce the stress that occurs.
