Bandung Regency is experiencing increased of air temperature, particularly in the urban area. High air temperature in urban areas is caused by increasing built-up areas and declining green open space. Green open space should be built to lower air temperature and to create a comfortable micro climate. Green open space should be developed at locations with high air temperature to reach its efficacy. This research used spatial analysis to generate air temperature distribution map. The map was used as the basis in developing green open space. The map showed that green open spaces should be developed at several sub-districts, namely Margahayu, Margaasih, Dayeuhkolot, Baleendah, Bojongsoang, Rancaekek, Cileunyi, Pameungpeuk, and Majalaya sub-districts.
Air temperature in cities are increasing which can cause reduce the human comfort and productivity. Urban forest can make the environment comfortable. The objectiveof the researc hwere: (1). To Determine the effects of urban forest on air temperature and relative humidity, (2). To analyze the effects of physical characters of trees ont he micro-climate amelioration and(3). To Determine species of trees which are very effective for micro-climate amelioration. The results of the research revealed that the average of daily air temperature in the urban forest was 30.2 C with arelative humidityof 74.0%, while the daily air temperature around the urban forest was 31.8 Karakter Fisik Pohon ... (Dahlan E) o C with relative humidityof 71.1%. Tree composisitin of all study sites consist of192trees, 29 speciesand 13families. The TinjomoyoForest Tourism has the highest density of trees(406trees/ha), while the lowest in the Parks Minister Supeno (316trees/ha). Value of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of trees based on calculation of tall of trees, diameter of canopies, total leaves area and canopy forms noticed that very effective trees for micro-climate amelioration were: Angsana(Pterocarpus indicus), beringin(Ficus benjamina), flamboyan(Delonix regia) , ketapang(Terminalia catappa), mahoni (Swietenia mahogany), andtrembesi (Albizia saman).
Lubuk Paraku sub watershed is located at the upland of Batang Arau watershed with Lubuk Paraku as the main river. The area consists of 2 forest types: Dr. Mohammad Hatta forest park and Bukit Barisan protected forest. A good hidrology function is the ability of watersheds to maintain its water systems balance in order to prevent flood in the rainy season and drought in the dry season. Human activities could affect the physical characteristics of watersheds, such as land management that emerge due to technology and population growth. This occurs because the human needs for land increasing in line with population growth. The same thing takes place at Lubuk Paraku sub watershed. The objectives of this research were to discover the type of land utilization and economic value of Lubuk Paraku sub watershed. This study used the descriptive method with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Water debit of Lubuk Paraku sub watershed was 2.8 m 3 /sec and it fulfill the households, agriculture, power plants, and industrial needs. The economic value of water resources from Lubuk Paraku River base on market approach was Rp 54.488.861.890/year and Willingness to Pay approach (WTP) was Rp 363.273.000/year
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
