Melamine, which has a unique structure and is known as an important raw material, was first employed as a curing agent to promote the curing reaction of phthalonitrile monomer 1,3-bis(3,4-dicyanophenoxy)benzene. Rheometric measurements and differential scanning calorimetry showed that the blends exhibited wide processing windows (*80 C). The thermal properties of the final cured polymers were monitored by thermogravimetric analysis, and the results revealed that the polymers had outstanding thermal stabilities. Dynamic mechanical analysis indicated that the glass transition temperature of the final cured polymers exceeded 480 C.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
