Infective endocarditis is an infection affecting the heart valves and inner lining of the heart. It causes high mortality rates. Thus, promptly diagnosing and treating such a patient is vital to their survival. A set of criteria are used to ensure that clinically we can diagnose infective [1] endocarditis. They are known as the modied Duke 's criteria.
