Profile of the students’ metacognition observed in this research was an activity that involved the abilities and metacognition processes of the students at each level of van Hiele thinking, including knowledge of metacognition and metacognition settings in solving geometrical problems in shape and space content. This type of research was descriptive with qualitative approach. Descriptive research was used in this research because it described or explained the variables studied, namely the level of van Hiele and Metacognition in schools in Indonesia and Thailand. The data collection methods used were van Hiele, PISA and interview tests. The results of the data analysis found that the students of visual level in Indonesia and Thailand in the planning stage were able to think about what to do, but in the monitoring stage, the students asked themselves questions about the purpose of the problems. However, in the evaluation stage they still doubt of what they decided, the students of analysis level in Indonesia and Thailand in the planning, monitoring and evaluation stages were quite sure of what they have thought.
This is a descriptive research which aims to describe mathematical literacy of male and female students by solving PISA problem. Mathematical problems are not only related to calculations, but how our ability to apply mathematical knowledge to solve problems in daily life. The importance of mathematical literacy can be seen from the PISA. The content of this research is shape and space content. Determination of this mathematical level is corresponding by some indicators which has been developed. It has three levels that consist of low level, medium level and high level. It has been addapted with 6 indicators of mathematical literacy of PISA. The result of this research is male students reach low level 43,75%, medium level 37,5% and high level 18,75%. While, female students reach low level 11,11%, and medium level 88,89%.
This research aims to study the effectiveness of literacy stimulation model based on multisensory development of the results of DDST in PAUD Aster 36, Jember. This type of research is Quasi-experimental design which is a form of experimental research that uses a control group but the control group unfunctionally to control external variables that can influence it. DDST assessment was carried out before and after treatment both in children who were given literacy stimulation or not. The research instrument used was the REEDA sign observation sheet with SOP tools. Respondent distribution data included gender, toddler age, toddler parent education, toddler parent age, toddler mother's work, toddler body weight, toddler head circumference and toddler upper arm circumference size. The result is the development of toddler overall assessment using DDST before treatment belongs to the normal category with different percentages. Development of toddler overall assessment using DDST After treatment was included in the normal category, but there was no statistical difference (p-value = 0.083) between the control and treatment groups.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
