-018Preparation, Structure, and Magnetic Properties of the Alkaline Earth Manganese Compounds AMnX with A: Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and X: Si, Ge, Sn.-The new compounds MgMnGe, MgMnSn, CaMnSi, CaMnSn, and SrMnSn are prepared by reaction of the elements. They crystallize tetragonally with the anti-PbFCl-type structure (space group P4/nmm, Z = 2), established by single crystal investigations. Magnetic measurements at 4.2-800 K indicate metamagnetic behavior at low temperatures. -(DASCOULIDOU, A.; SCHUCHT, F.; JUNG, W.; SCHUSTER, H.-U.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
