In recent years, the epidemic situation in diphtheria has deteriorated sharply. An essential point in assessing the dynamics of the epidemic process of diphtheria is the determination of the state of immunity of the population. Judging by the numerous publications [4-5], the number of immune persons and the level of antibodies in them in different years and in certain territories are different. Given that the highest incidence is currently observed among adults, we decided to study the state of protection not of the total population, but of adults. The intensity of immunity to diphtheria and tetanus in the adult population of Kazan was studied by us in 1992 against the background of epidemic well-being, at that time in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Leningrad, Irkutsk regions, Primorsky Krai, there was a significant increase in the incidence of diphtheria.
Specific immunotherapy with bacterial allergens has a corrective effect on the activity of kallikrein and precallikrein in blood plasma in patients with pre-asthma and bronchial asthma [1].
The bacterial sensitization and its relationship with the microflora of the duodenal contents were studied in 67 patients with chronic cholecystitis. Bacterial sensitization was found in 44 patients (65.7%), most often to E. coli and pyogenic streptococcus allergens. A clear relationship between bacterial sensitization and the microflora of the duodenal contents has not been determined.
One of the promising directions in the rehabilitation of patients with chronic obstructive bronchitis with elements of bacterial sensitization (pre-asthma) and infectious-allergic form of bronchial asthma is the timely implementation of specific treatment with bacterial allergens (specific immunotherapy). Its effectiveness in bronchial asthma is 49-72%, with predastma 81,489,0% [1, 5].
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
