The Push-Pull Boost topology when properly driven becomes a suitable approach for power factor correction in a single power stage scheme. In addition, input current ripple can be attenuated using an improved notch filter, tuned at switching frequency. In order to obtain high power quality and symmetrical output voltage for dc-ac applications, a Single-Stage Push-Pull Boost Converter with Notch Filter is proposed. This scheme provides isolation, high bandwidth control and low complexity, reaching therefore high efficiency, low component count and low cost.Index terms-power factor correction, single-stage converter, input current shaper, symmetrical output voltage.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
