In this article we present the experience of laparoscopic surgery for distal gastric cancer. This work is a the result of collaboration between Japanese and Russian surgeons. Japanese authors started laparoscopic gastric surgery since the mid 90-ies of the last century. Laparoscopic subtotal gastrectomy was accompanied by D2 lymph node dissection. Reconstruction was carried out by intracorporeal formation delta-shaped gastroduodenostomy using linear stapler. This operation is positioned as a method of choice for distal localization of resectable gastric cancer. The article presents the technical aspects for laparoscopic D2 lymph node dissection and Billroth -I reconstruction as well.
