Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran simulator yang berkualitas baik. Media pembelajaran simulator berupa software digunakan untuk menentukan jarak dan arah haluan kapal yang di desain menyerupai alat navigasi ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System). Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (RD) dengan metode pengembangan menggunakan model Borg Gall (1983) yang dimodifikasi. Pengembangan media pembelajaran simulator terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu 1) Studi Pendahuluan, 2) Tahap Desain, 3) Tahap Validasi dan Revisi, 4) Ujicoba dan Revisi, denagan subjek penelitian taruna diploma 3 jrurusan nautika. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagai berikut: Hasil validasi media simulator mendapat skor minimal 3 untuk setiap aspek, validasi keakuratan perhitungan simulator dibandingkan dengan ECDIS didapatkan rata-rata eror dan presentase eror jarak tempuh adalah -0,06 dan 0,072%, rata-rata eror dan presentase eror arah haluan adalah 0,06 dan 0,16%. Kemampuan dosen menggunakan simulator mendapat skor minimal 3 untuk setiap aspek, aktivitas taruna sesuai dengan waktu ideal, banyak respon positif taruna 87,5%, Hasil belajar taruna lulus kompetensi sebanyak 26 dan tidak lulus kompetensi sebanyak 4, ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal adalah 87%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media simulator berkualitas baik.
this study aims to formulate planning, implement, and test the effectiveness of learning with a blended learning model in the basic courses of automation and control system technology. The method used in this study is the ADDIE Research and Development model. The research population is level II electro cadets. While the research sample is a class A and class B electrical cadets selected by cluster sampling technique. Data collection methods include documentation, observation, tests and questionnaires. The results showed that (1) learning planning with a blended learning model is fit to be used as a guideline for implementing learning in the classroom; (2) blended learning, learning model can be implemented according to planning which includes orientation, organization, investigation, presentation, analysis, and evaluation; (3) learning with a blended learning model is proven effective in terms of (a) basic learning outcomes of automation and control system technology that uses a blended learning model> 75 and there are significant differences in learning outcomes between groups that use the blended learning model and groups that do not use blended learning model; (b) the process of increasing activeness and motivation to learn cadets better. From the results of this study it is suggested the need for the development of a blended learning model as a supplement to face-to-face learning in the basic subjects of automation and control system technology and others.
