The rapid development of information and communication technology at this time also has an impact of the emergence of innovations in the field of learning that require further management by professions that have relevant competencies. One of the competencies that has urgency is the learning technology development profession which is career opportunities for graduated students of Educational Tecknology major. The urgency of the profession is also recognized by the government with the ratification of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment Regulation Number:PER/2/M.PAN/2009 regarding the Functional Position of Learning Technology Developer and its Credit Score. However, the implementation of JF-PTP in the field has not been fully maximized. This study aims to determine the implementation and relevance of the Educational Technology profession with the Development of Learning Media by further examines the Learning Media Developer profession based on the facts that occur in the field. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Sources of data obtained from interviews with three alumni of Educational Technology major, UPI, who whork as Learning Media Developers. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there were no explicit conditions for the implementation of the Functional Position of Learning Technology Developer (JF-PTP), Learning Media Developer. In addition, the results of the research are also the competencies of graduates of educational technology. The specific competencies include being able to master 5 areas of Educational Technology, pedagogical and andragogic competencies (depending on the focus of media development based on each level).
