ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak bawang putih (Allium sativum) yang tepat terhadap penetasan telur ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Balai Budidaya Perikanan Air Payau (BBPAP) Ujung Batee pada bulan Juli hingga Agustus 2014. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 taraf perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Sampel yang digunakan adalah telur ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) yang telah terbuahi sebanyak 100 butir per wadah/ulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan meliputi perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak bawang putih (Allium sativum) ; 0 (kontrol) ; 500 ; 1.000 ; 1.500; 2.000; 2.500 ppm. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak bawang putih berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap daya tetas telur ikan bandeng pada taraf uji 1%. Uji lanjut BNJ menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak bawang putih terbaik adalah pada konsentrasi 2.000 ppm.Kata kunci: Ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos), Daya tetas telur, Ekstrak bawang putih (Allium sativum). ABSTRACTThe research was to study the influence of garlic extract (Allium sativum) on hatching rate of eggs milkfish (Channos-channos). Research was conducted at Brackish Water Aquaculture Center, Ujung Batee, Aceh Besar District on August 2014. Experimental design was used Completely Randomized Design as statistical analysis method with six treatments and three repetitions. Sample was milkfish eggs, it was distributed as 100 eggs of compartment. The treatments of garlic extract concentration were 0 ppm (control); 500 ppm ; 1.000 ppm ; 1.500 ppm ; 2.000 ppm ; and 2.500 ppm. Anova test showed that the garlic extract gave the significant effect on hatching rate of milkfish eggs at the level test of 1 %. The further test using honestly significant difference test showed that the best treatment of the garlic extract concentration was 2.000 ppm.
The objective of the present study was to evaluate the giving candlenut oil (aleurites moluccanus) in commercial feed on feed conversion ratio and feed efficiency of bileh fish (Rasbora sp.). Thecompletely randomized design method was used in this study with four treatments and three replications. The treatments studied were pellet without the giving candlenut oil (P0), pellet with the giving candlenut oil 5%/kg of feed (P1), pellet with the giving candlenut oil 10%/kg of feed (P2) and pellet with the giving candlenut oil 15%/kg of feed (P3). Bileh fish seed stocking density was 1 individu/l with the length of 3,5-4 cm and weight of 0,61-0,86 g. The culture period of fish farming was 40 days. The ANOVA test showed that the commercial feed with the giving candlenut oil gave significant effect on feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, specific growth rate of bileh fish (Rasbora sp.), but did not give significant effect on survival rate of bileh fish seed. The best dose to increase feed efficiency and low feed conversion ratio of bileh fish seed is pellet with the giving candlenut oil 15%/kg of feed (P3).
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan gonad ikan serukan yang diberikan pakan tepung kunyit. Metode penelitian eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Empat dosis tepung kunyit dicampur ke dalam pakan yaitu 0, 0,2, 0,4, dan 0,6 %/kg. Induk yang digunakan dalam percobaan adalah induk betina ikan serukan sebanyak 120 ekor (10 ekor/wadah) berukuran panjang 12-14 cm dan bobot 30-40 g hasil tangkapan dan penangkaran kelompok petani ikan di Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Parameter yang diamati yaitu pertumbuhan (bobot dan panjang), gonadosomatic index (GSI) dan hepatosomatic index (HSI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung kunyit dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan mempercepat proses perkembangan gonad ikan dengan dosis terbaik yaitu P4 (0,6%/kg pakan).Kata kunci: pertumbuhan, gonadosomatic index, hepatosomatic index, Osteochilus sp. ABSTRACTThis study aims to evaluate the growth and gonads development of serukan fish that are given the feed of turmeric flour. Experimental research method using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Four doses of turmeric flour were mixed into feed, namely 0, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6% / kg. The fish used in the experiment were 120 individuals (10 individus/net), length of fish is 12-14 cm and weight 30-40 g of caught and breeding of fish farmer groups in Nagan Raya District. Parameters observed were growth (weight and length), gonadosomatic index (GSI) and hepatosomatic index (HSI). The results showed that giving turmeric flour can increase growth and improve gonadal development of Serukan fish with the best dose, P4 (0.6% / kg feed).
<p><em>Nodulisporium</em> sp. KT29 merupakan salah satu kapang endofit yang diisolasi dari alga merah<em> Eucheuma edule</em>, tidak bersifat toksik, dan bersifat antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak kapang laut Nodulisporium sp. KT29 terhadap <em>Vibrio harveyi</em>. Penelitian dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu kultivasi kapang, ekstraksi senyawa aktif, pengujian aktivitas antibakteri, kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT), bioautografi, serta pengamatan kerusakan sel bakte<em>ri Vibrio harveyi</em>. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etil asetat dan dipekatkan dengan rotary evaporator. Ekstrak Nodulisporium sp. KT29 diuji terhadap bakteri Vibrio harveyi pada konsentrasi 0,125; 0,25; 0,5; 1 dan 2 mg/disc. Ekstrak <em>Nodulisporium</em> sp. KT29 membentuk zona hambat tertinggi pada konsentrasi 2 mg sebesar 45,33±0,71 mm. Hasil uji KLT ekstrak Nodulisporium sp. KT29 menunjukkan adanya 7 spot retardation factor (Rf) dengan tiga komponen warna yaitu cokelat, kuning dan ungu. Uji bioautografi menghasilkan 2 spot zona hambat yaitu 16 mm dan 13 mm pada Rf 0,94 dan 0,14. Pengamatan menggunakan SEM menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan pada morfologi sel Vibrio harveyi dengan pemberian ekstrak <em>Nodulisporium</em> sp. KT29 yang ditandai dengan lisis.</p>
