This study will specifically investigate the personal factors of students, whether they are biographic, or suspected psychological effect on the success of studies in the faculty of Psychology. Demographic factors such as intelligence level factors, whether the school background of high school, vocational school, or MA, and majors of time in SMU / SMK / MA. These factors are investigated for allegedly influence the success of the study. If proven, empirically, the results of this study expected to be a consideration in the selection of new students of psychology faculty UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. During this selection system seems not yet to consider these factors. In fact, psychological test results of students' 2007-2008 force distribution of the IQ level of students was very varied between 78 to 115 points. Not much different school backgrounds and majors. The design of this study applying correlational design, multiple regression. With multiple regression, it is possible to forecast a variable based on the values of some predictors. The assumption by using several predictors will make more accurate predictions. In addition, with multiple regression is statistically possible to measure the influence of several predictor variables to control the other predictor variables (Blaikie, 2003). Research data, including: (1) The primary data is data related to emotional intelligence and social support, and (2) secondary data id data relating to the level of intelligence. Secondary data were obtained from laboratory psycho-tests held by the faculty of Psychology UIN SGD Bandung and the data contained in the faculty of Psychology UIN SGD Bandung. Results of data analysis shows that the correlation coefficient of the three independent variables with dependent variables for 0409 with a value of R2 of 0167. It shows that 16.7 percent of the variation of study success is determined by emotional intelligence, social support, and level of intelligence. Level intelligence backgrounds of students majoring in natural science majors were higher than social science or language. Meanwhile, 83.3 percent more determined by other variables.
This research aims to understand correlation between religiousity and juvenile delinquency. Proporsonal sampling used taking 74 students of grade XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Surade academic year 2011/2012. Research design is non-experimental using correlational method. Instruments used are religiousity scale (60 itms) and juvenile delinquency scale (59 items). Result shows that 61% students have high religiousity level and 53% students have low juvenile delinquency level. Correlation analysis result cooficient correlation -0,579 meaning that religiousity negatively correlated with juvenile delinquency.
Future orientation on education could be called as a goal; target, plan and strategy dreamed and strived by individual to achieve. One of many strategies could be used by student to make those dreams of their future on education to become true is to have self regulation in learning style and methods.
This study aims to determine how much influence the transformational leadership style has on an organizational commitment to student organizations, which in this study is a psychology student organization at Sunan Gunung Djati UIN Bandung, namely: Psychorescue. The method used in this study is quantitative with simple linear regression analysis with 40 subjects of Psychorescue members. The scale of transformational leadership style used is based on the theory of Bass and Avolio, while the organizational commitment used is based on the theory of J.P Meyer & J.J. Allen, both of which were made by researchers. The results showed that transformational leadership style had a significant effect of 67% on an organizational commitment to members of Psychorescue. The hypothesis testing obtained results of t-count of 8.769 while ttable with a significance level of 5% is df = N-2, then df = 40-2 = 38 which is equal to 2,024. So that t count is 8.769> t-table which is 2.024. This means that there is a significant effect of transformational leadership style on organizational commitment in Psychorescue members or it can be said that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.
One of the most important developmental tasks for adolescents is to find self-identity. This study aims to determine the effect of self identity status and affiliation motive on self disclosure in adolescent Islamic students. This study uses a quantitative correlational method with a total of 140 students was obtained through random sampling techniques. Data collection tools using self identity status scale, affiliation motive scale and self disclosure scale. The multiple linear regression analysis show that there is an influence of self identity status and affiliation motive on self disclosure on social media.
