Viruses cause disease in both animals and plants. New viral diseases are often caused by the spread of existing viruses from one host species to another. The COVID-19 pandemic has been spreading across the world since its emergence in China. The pandemic affected not only the health systems of the countries but also their education systems. To prevent the spread of the epidemic, schools were closed, and different practices were presented in this period. In this study, it was aimed to determine the teachers' views towards the effects of COVID-19 on the education process in Turkey. The case study was used in the research and it was carried out with the participation of 237 different branch teachers. In order to collect the data, structured interview form prepared by the researchers was used. Data were evaluated by using the content analysis technique. As a result of the research, it was determined that teachers have both positive and negative views about competencies, distance education, adaptation of students and teacher-parent communication. In addition, it was determined that teachers have varying concerns about health, economy and education. On the other hand, research results also have shown that the pandemic process provides positive acquisitions in technology use, awareness and skill development.
In this research, which is done in order to determine the demographical features on middle school students' 6 th , 7 th and 8 th grades towards FeTeMM (STEM), scanning design is used. It is performed with 581 middle school students, and data are collected through Middle School Students' point of view to Stem (S-Stem) scale. The research is implemented during 2015-2016 spring period. For statistical evaluation of gathered data, independent t-test and one direction variance analysis (anova), one direction variance analysis Kruskal-Wallis are used. Also, data are evaluated on 0.05 level relevance and its percentage, frequency, average and standard deviation levels are calculated. According to findings gathered from the study, it is seen that opinion of students to FeTeMM (STEM), the mother education level and father education level have a great effect but gender and class level haven't. On the other hand, applied sciences, like maths, engineering and 21st century skills, the effects of students' gender, mom and father education level and grade level are expressed.

For students, textbooks are a source of knowledge and an important learning material. For this reason, textbooks must contain appropriate content. In this research, our aim was to examine of biology subjects on secondary school 7 th grade science textbook in terms of scientific content. The data were analyzed using document analysis. Based on criteria such as the book's scientific content, knowledge deficiency, erroneous information and misrepresentations, three experts in the field of biology were assigned the responsibility of reviewing the textbook. The findings of the research, categorized based on the chapters and units of the textbook included a discovery of scientific flaws, insufficient explanations on topics such as ''Systems of the Body'', ''Force and Energy'', ''Human's relationship with the environment'' and various other errors regarding the assessment questions. Recommendations therefore included a review of the said textbook in order to correct all such errors.
In this research, it was aimed to determine the nature relatedness of pre-service primary school and science teachers regarding various variables. "Nature Relatedness Scale (NRS)", developed by Nisbet, Zelenski and Murphy (2009) and adapted to Turkish and analyzed, terms of validity by Çakır, Kararslan , Şahin and Ertenpınar (2015), was used as data collection instrument. The research was carried out with 363 pre-service teachers in Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University in the academic year of 2015-2016. The relational screening model was used in the research, in which and, statistical significance of the obtained data was determined through independent t test, one-way variance analysis Kruskal-Wallis analysis and Tukey meaningfulness tests. Research findings have indicated a; difference among the participants' nature relatedness in relation to gender, education, and grade level. However, no significant was difference found between having taken the environment lesson, membership to natural organizations, participation in natural activities nature relatedness of pre-service teachers.
