Mentawai is well known as an ecotourism area in Indonesia, with its Siberut National Park recognized as part of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. People come to visit this exotic area every year to do activities and enjoying the natural surroundings. Tourist visits to Mentawai were escalating by years, both domestic and foreign tourists. Regional income from tourism was also increasing. Ecotourism is known worldwide for its benefit for economic contribution to local communities and poverty alleviation. The economic contribution of ecotourism is often appreciated through its direct effect on local business enterprises on sites. However, statistics today showed that Mentawai are still categorized as underdeveloped and poor. Therefore, this descriptive research objective was to assess tourism contribution by means of direct effect to local business enterprises and challenges faced by villages near Siberut National Park, South Siberut, Mentawai. A survey was conducted in November 2018 by distributing questionnaires to 19 representatives of tourism-related Local Business Enterprises (LBEs) using an accidental sampling technique. Data collected were then processed, analyzed and interpreted. In conclusion, this study shows that there is a low direct effect of tourism to the existing Local Business Enterprise in the villages of Muntei, Madobag, and Matotonan of South Siberut, Mentawai Island Regency, West Sumatera, Indonesia. In addition, essential challenges exist, not to mention managerial, predominantly concerning financial and legal matters. It is recommended that local government and other stakeholders put more consideration not only on environmental and social aspects, but also economy, represented by local business enterprises. Initiatives and integrated actions should be arranged and put in practice as empowering tourism, particularly ecotourism to its optimum, to bring about foremost contribution to local economy through direct effect of tourism to local business enterprises. The research aims to determine the effect of learning organizations on married female permanent employees' performance at restaurants in Jakarta and Bali by mediating job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The phenomenon that occurs is that married female employees at restaurants tend to work less optimally and are reluctant to participate in development training programs since the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020. This quantitative research was conducted with purposive random sampling on 73 married female employee respondents. The measuring instrument is a questionnaire with five-Likert scales—data processing using CB-SEM with Smart PLS program. The results showed a significant influence of learning organizations on female staff performance through the mediation of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The research contribution is expected to provide input to the management at restaurants in managing the performance of married female employees.
Abstrak Pariwisata kreatif merupakan bentuk pariwisata alternatif yang prospektif untuk dikembangkan di Desa Sedari. Penelitian yang ada menunjukkan bahwa daya tarik utama kawasan hutan mangrove selama ini semata pemandangan yang cenderung tidak melibatkan partisipasi dan pengalaman wisatawan dalam kegiatan pariwisata. Hal ini mengindikasikan potensi yang ada belum sepenuhnya termanfaatkan optimal. Terlebih kegiatan pariwisata ditunda dan dihentikan sementara dengan adanya Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) untuk mencegah meluasnya penyebaran pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi pariwisata kreatif kawasan hutan mangrove di Desa Sedari, Kecamatan Cibuaya, Kabupaten Karawang, Provinsi Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan eksploratif. Data primer dan sekunder diperoleh melalui wawancara serta studi pustaka. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa (1) Hutan mangrove Desa Sedari memiliki potensi untuk pengembangan pariwisata kreatif; (2) Pengembangan ke arah pariwisata kreatif baru dimulai pada tahun 2021 namun belum terlaksana optimal dimana belum ada pengelolaan, pengelola maupun program yang terencana baik. (3) Bentuk pariwisata kreatif yang dapat dikembangkan di kawasan hutan mangrove, diantaranya birdwatching, pengolahan produk berbasis mangrove, maupun kegiatan wisata yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif wisatawan, juga kerjasama wisatawan dengan masyarakat lokal dan pengelola kawasan hutan mangrove. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan dilakukannya renovasi dan revitalisasi sejumlah infrastruktur fisik kawasan hutan mangrove untuk pengembangan kegiatan pariwisata kreatif, peningkatan kompetensi dan kualifikasi sumber daya manusia pariwisata serta penguatan kemitraan kerja diantara para pemangku kepentingan terkait. Kata Kunci: pariwisata kreatif, partisipasi aktif, hutan mangrove, desa sedari, pandemi COVID-19 Explorative Study of the Creative Tourism Potential of the Mangrove Forest Area Sedari Village, Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java Abstract Creative tourism is an alternative tourism that is prospective to be developed in Sedari Village. Existing research shows that the main tourist attraction of mangrove forest area in Sedari Village so far is mere the scenery which tends not to involve the participation and experience of tourists within the tourism activities. This indicates that the existing potential has not yet fully utilized. Moreover, tourism activities were temporarily postponed and stopped during the Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) that carried out to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to explore the creative tourism potential of mangrove forest area in Sedari Village, Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia. This study utilised descriptive research method with exploratory approach. Primary and secondary data were obtained through interviews and literature study. This study found that (1) The mangrove forest of Sedari Village has the potential for the development of creative tourism; (2) Development towards creative tourism has not yet optimally implemented. It was just started in 2021 that there are no well-planned programs, managers nor management. At present; (3) Types of creative tourism can be developed in Sedari mangrove forest areas, including birdwatching, processing mangrove based tourism products; tourism activities involving tourist active participation, as well as tourist cooperation with local communities and mangrove forest area managers. This study recommends for the renovation and revitalization of a number of physical infrastructures for the development of creative tourism activities; the enhancement of tourism human resources qualifications and competencies; as well as strengthening the working partnership amongst relevant stakeholders. Dunia kuliner sangat banyak persaingannya yang dapat dikatakan sangat tinggi dan meningkat karena konsumen lebih sangat selektif sekali memiliki rumah makan, yang menyebabkan antara rumah makan harus benar-benar berpikir bagaimana memiliki strategi yang tepat dalam menghadapi persaingan. Strategi tersebut adalah people, physical evidence dan process. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh people, physical evidence dan process terhadap kunjungan ke Rumah Makan Ampera 2 Tak Cabang Veteran Bintaro, Jakarta Selatan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah semua konsumen yang berkunjung ke Rumah Makan Ampera 2 Tak Cabang Veteran Bintaro. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan accidental sampling. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan Smart PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa people, physical evidence dan process berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kunjungan. Hal ini karena banyaknya konsumen memutuskan berkunjung ke Rumah Makan Ampera 2 Tak Cabang Veteran Bintaro, Jakarta Selatan karena ada orang-orang yang berkualitas yang bekerja dengan sepenuh hati melayani para konsumen, kemudian physical evidence dengan menyediakan beberapa fasilitas yang baik dan memadai, selanjutnya dengan proses yang efesien dan efektif dalam menyajikan makanan sampai ke konsumen lebih cepat dan tepat serta rapi. Kata Kunci: People, Physical Evidence, Process, Kunjungan Abstarct The culinary world has a lot of competition that can be very tight because consumers are very selective in owning a restaurant, which causes restaurants to think about the right strategy in facing competition. The strategy is people, physical evidence, and process. This study aims to determine the influence of people, physical evidence and process on the decision to visit Ampera 2 Tak Restaurant, Veterans Bintaro Branch, South Jakarta. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all consumers who visited Ampera 2 Tak Restaurant, Veterans Bintaro Branch. The sample in this study amounted to 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling. Data processing is done with Smart PLS. The results showed that people, physical evidence and process had a significant effect on the decision to visit. This is because many consumers decide to visit Ampera 2 Tak Restaurant Veterans Bintaro Branch, South Jakarta because there are quality people who work wholeheartedly to serve consumers, then physical evidence by providing some good and adequate facilities, then with the process which is efficient and effective in serving food to consumers more quickly, precisely and neatly.
