This study aims to see the achievements of Bidik Misi Scholarships of students during the Covid-19 outbreak at Prof. Dr. Hazairin University. This research was conducted using descriptive research methods. The population and samples used in this study are all students who received Bidik Misi Scholarships in the academic year Odd 2019/2020 and Even 2019/2020 who were studying as many as 219 students. Data collection technique is a documentary technique, a tool used in the form of a stuffing format designed in such a way that it can record all the necessary data. This research data is quantitative data that is analyzed using descriptive analysis and categorized based on Academic Guidelines. The results of the study, the achievement of students who received Bidik Misi Scholarships in the academic year 2019/2020 judging from the average cumulative achievement index of students in the Odd semester is 3.31 and the average cumulative achievement index of students in the Even semester is 3.24. The average academic achievement score of students seen from 219 students who received mission objectives decreased by 0.07 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The decrease in the index of learning achievement of mission-aiming students has been seen in the Aquaculture program wherein the odd semester before the pandemic the average academic achievement was 3.8 and the average academic achievement during the Covid-19 pandemic was 2.7. In conclusion, the percentage of cumulative achievement index of the average recipient of Bidik Misi Scholarships during the Covid-19 outbreak at Prof. Dr. Hazairin University in the category is very satisfactory or above 2.75. Bengkulu berada pada jalur patahan sumatera, termasuk rawan bencana gempa. Berada pada pesisir pantai pulau Sumatera.Pendidikan geografi bergerak pada ranah pengetahuan, kecakapan, perilaku untuk membentuk pengalaman peserta didik yang berwawasan kemampuan mitigasi bencana. Untuk melihat pemahaman wilayah bencana yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Peneliti mengambil judul "peranan pembelajaran geografi dalam memahami wilayah bencana di Kota Bengkulu".Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey.Pengolahan data menggunakan korelasi dan regresi kemudian hasilnya dipaparkan secara deskriptif.Tingkat pemahaman mengenai wilayah bencana hanya 13,93% peserta didik yang tahu bahwa wilayah yang didiaminya adalah wilayah rawan bencana.Hubungan antara pembelajaran geografi terhadap pemahaman wilayah bencana peserta didik tidak ada hubungan.Perubahan pembelajaran geografi dalam materi mengenai bencana. Proses pembelajaran menggunakan teori konstrutivistik dan model pembelajaran simulasi yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik.
Training of English Language and Mangrove Management for Youth Empowerment in Mangrove Tourism Object Development Karang taruna is a youth organization in a village. This community service program was aimed to train Karang Taruna member in Sumber Jaya Village, Kota Bengkulu speaking English which can be used to guide foreign tourists and and to educate them about mangroves and its management for ecotourism activities. The activity was carried out in three stages: 1) the preparation; 2) the planning; 3) the implementation stage. In the third stage, an evaluation was carried out through the practice of speaking English and distributing questionnaires about English language skills and knowledge about mangroves. After the service activities were carried out, the results showed that the participants: 1) 100% understood how to greet and introduce in English; 2) 90% could explain the information about interest place in English; 3) 90% could ask and answer in English; 4) 100% could explain about tourism object in English; 5) 100% could explain about the rules of travel in English; 6) 100% could answer about tourism object; 7) 100% could convey likes and dislikes; 8) 100% could hosting; 9) 90% could explain how to make organic fertilizers; 10) 90% could explain the making of handicrafts; 11) 100% understood the function, potential and types of mangrove forests; 12) 90% knew the tourism management based on mangrove conservation; 13) 90% understood maintenance and improvement of mangrove quality; 14) 100% understood management through tourism diversification; 15) 90% understood mangrove tourism infrastructure; 16) 100% understood the potential of mangroves that can be processed into souvenirs. The results of the service can be concluded that the Karang Taruna members have understood about English language technique specifically to tour guide and had an understanding of mangroves.
Bengkulu berada pada wilayah rawan bencana gempa tinggi dan menengah diakibatkan dari wilayah Bengkulu yang terletak pada titik pertemuan lempeng tektonik, Samudra Hindia, dan Lempang Tektonik Asia pada wilayah pesir pantai di wilayah Kota Bengkulu. Gempa yang terjadi diwilayah Bengkulu adalah jenis gempa yang diakibatkan oleh gempa di laut disebabkan oleh adanya aktivitas subduksi lempeng Eurasia tepatnya di zona megathrust. Gempa yang terjadi di Bengkulu dalam kurun 3 tahun ini yaitu pada tahun 2016, 2017 dan 2018 yaitu, pada tahun 2016 terjadi sebanyak 252 gempa bumi, pada tahun 2017 terjadi sebanyaak 431 kali gempa bumi dan sebanyak 278 kali gempa bumi sampai pada bulan Oktober 2018 (Data BMKG Kepahiang). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode surve dengan menggunakan data penelitian primer dan sekunder. Hasil penelitian : (1).Pada pemahaman mitigasi bencana gempa bumi pada zona tinggi berada pada tingkat pemahaman sangat kurang dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 58 orang siswa dengan 42 persen. ((3). Pemahaman mitigasi dengan pembelajaran geografi yang terjadi pada zona tinggi memiliki faktor pengaruh sebesar 55,4 %.
