The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an understanding to the community about the need to implement the Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas) by keeping the environment clean and consuming good and healthy food and drinks. The method used is the method of socialization, education, and community performance through community service activities. The results of the dedication show that this activity received the attention and support of the government and the community of Bulutellue Village. Based on observations at the community service location, the community has adopted a healthy lifestyle as an implementation of Germas.
Dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 17 Tahun 2007 tentang Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Panjang Nasional Tahun 2005–2025, disebutkan bahwa pembangunan kesehatan pada hakikatnya adalah upaya yang dilaksanakan oleh semua komponen bangsa Indonesia yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, kemauan, dan kemampuan hidup sehat bagi setiap orang. Kebijakan tersebut tentu harus didukung oleh semua pihak, termasuk dari kalangan akademisi perguruan tinggi. Perhatian tersebut kemudian diimplementasikan dengan cara melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat sebagai bagian dari tridarma perguruan tinggi. Adapun kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di Desa Bola Bulu, Kecamatan Pitu Riase Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan penyadaran kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya pola hidup sehat. Metode yang diterapkan pada pengabdian ini ialah observasi, sosialisasi, diskusi, dan tatap muka secara langsung. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berlangsung secara baik dan diikuti secara antusias oleh para warga yang dijadikan sebagai khalayak sasaran. Materi yang disampaikan berhasil dipahami oleh masyarakat dan berkomitmen untuk lebih memperhatikan menu makanan yang akan disajikan terhadap anggota keluarga. Dari 27 peserta, secara umum memberikan jawaban setuju terhadap pertanyaan yang terdapat dalam kuesioner, kecuali yang terlait dengan perilaku merokok. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Bola Bulu menginginkan hidup sehat dengan cara mencari informasi yang terkait dengan kesehatan dari pihak-pihak yang memiliki kompetensi.
The change in the economic transition from subsistence to the formal economic system has brought about changes in the pattern of living in society, especially in farmer households. The research objective was to analyze and provide an overview of the livelihood strategies of farmer households in South Sulawesi which are gender nuanced. As well, the division of labor and time allocation based on the roles between women and men who work in each realm both formal and informal in on-farm, off-farm, and non-farm. This research uses a qualitative approach. Qualitative data were obtained through observation, interviews, literature study and secondary data in the form of previous research and disaggregated data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. Analysis of research data using qualitative analysis, where the data is processed by classification and analyzed in a qualitative narrative. The results showed that changes in the household income system of the Bugis-Makassar ethnic farmers, where women tend to prefer off-farm than on-farm. Meanwhile, involvement in agriculture is still dominated by men. Household livelihood strategies, namely men and women must play a role without limiting access, control, participation and benefits from one another. Changes in roles and time allocations were driven by an economic transition that gave rise to various alternative jobs, both off-farm and non-farm along with the increase in employment space in the formal and informal sectors.
