The ISCAD drive is the first low-voltage electrical machine applicable to automotive traction applications. Supplying the drive with high current at low voltage is both a challenge and an opportunity. This paper investigates highcurrent, low-voltage power nets for electric vehicles and presents possible realizations. The focus lies on aspects of security, feasibility and cost-effectiveness of a power net with a primary bus voltage lower than 60V.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
