It is relevant to highlight the importance of nurses in patient care in renal replacement therapy, which has an important care function, health education and psychological support. At this juncture, for nursing care to be optimized, it must occur systematically, through the application of the Nursing Process, which is organized into five stages: history, diagnoses, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing. Thus, the objective of the present study was to report the experience of nursing undergraduates during the application of the Nursing Process to a patient on hemodialysis therapy. From the analysis of the information obtained from the patient's history, nursing evolution and general physical examination, five guiding parameters were established to support the use of the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association classifications: Risk of Vascular Trauma, Risk of Infection, Constipation, Knowledge and Confrontation, and from these were elaborated the diagnoses, interventions and results for each finding. There was a need to maintain aseptic means to prevent infection. Constipation was due to water restriction required during therapy. Knowledge was insufficient about their own health condition, and despite the limitations of treatment it was resilient during coping. The reported experience was of great value to know how care is provided to patients with chronic kidney disease, inserting the Nursing Process as a working tool of nurses in clinical daily life, and the use of taxonomies was important to standardize language. and nursing actions.

Objective: to identify the scientific evidence on herbal medicines used in treating diabetic foot in older adults. Methods: an integrative review conducted in the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System, SCOPUS, EMBASE, Web of Science and Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature databases. The Rayyan platform was used as a supporting tool for archiving, organizing and selecting articles. Results: the search resulted in 158 articles. After identifying, selecting, evaluating eligibility, systematization and performing a full reading of the articles, the final sample consisted of 10 articles. We identified herbal medicines derived from Calendula officinalis, Ageratina pichinchensis, Phellodendron chinense, Curcumin phytosome, Capsicum spp., Rehmannia Glutinosa and Astragalus membranaceus. Conclusion: investigations of herbal compounds derived from four plants used in treating diabetic foot in older adults predominated. Considerations for practice: supported by legislation, nurses can guide users interested in using phytotherapy as an accessible solution with proven efficacy.
