Results obtained on original and Spanish versions of the Tinnitus Reaction Ouestionnaire-TRO-(Wilson et al. in 1991 in English) to assess the psychological distress of tinnitus suffers, are compared. Relíabilíty and va/idity of the Spanish translation, from 85 patients with tinnitus associated or not with hearing impaired are shown. Subjects fulfilled the translated TRO version, the Beck Oepression Inventory (BOl), the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), and the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI). The results indicatedgood Intemal cons/stency (indexes among 0.89 and 0.96. A statistically significant corre/ation appears between the TRO and BOl and STA/. The adapted TRO has psychometrics properties /ike to the original English version. This allows its use in Spanish populations with the same reliability and validity guarantees as the original instrumento
