Family planning aims at reducing maternal mortality rates and reducing population growth rate with the main target of couples of childbearing age. One of the family planning options offered is long-term reversible contraceptive method (MKJP). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with interest in using MKJP in the work area of Camplong health center, Fatuleu sub-district, Kupang regency in 2018. The research was quantitive study with cross-sectional approach. The sample of 77 people was selected using simple random sampling. The instrument uses was a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques consisted of descriptive and bivariate analysis (chi-square test) with α= 0,05. The study indicated that knowledge (p-value= 0,09) and the role of health workers (p-value =0,001) were associated with the use of the MKJP while attitude (p-value = 0,765) and husband support (p-value = 0,131) had no relationship with MKJP. Health center needs to regularly provide information to the community about the advantages of MKJP especially for couples of childbearing age who have already had more than three children.
Malaria is one of the diseases that still becomes a threat, even often float the outbreaks (KLB) in the area that never found the malaria case before. It happened because the weakening of the care system early and the planning of eradication of malaria do not precisely and continual. To overcome this problem, needed the eradication program of malaria that doing by chronically and integrated. According to the Management Program of Eradication Malaria (P2M) Module and Program in Puskesmas Seba, there is some activity that acts as the effort to against malaria disease: 1)invention of the patient, 2) medication of patient, 3) spraying house and 4) distribution of mosquito’s net. The study is aimed to know the efficacy level of this program. Therefore, it’s necessary to evaluate the output of this program. The Type of this study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population is the entire officer of health in Puskesmas Seba. The sample amount to 12 one who represents the overall population. Data analysed descriptively. Result of the research indicates that from 3 activity of invention patient (ACD, PCD, and Posmaldes), only 2 activity that is PCD and Posmaldes that doing.
The ISPA still remains an important issue, since it caused deaths on babies and infants at about one of four deaths occurred. Therefore, the Program Pemberantasan Penyakit ISPA (P2ISPA) must be conducted on Puskesmas level. The effort on the ISPA Eradication Program in Indonesia was launched in 1984 alongside the WHO’s global program. In order to achieve better implementation on it, good management is needed to reach the desired goals. The aim of this study is to describe: 1) the planning function of the program; 2) the organizational function of the program; 3) the implemental function of the program; 4) the supervising function of the program. The type of study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach method. The population is 15 officers of Puskesmas Pasir Panjang that also taken as a sample. There is a supervising function though with a minimum scope of the service area, as observed, and only at the Puskesmas by the Dinas Kesehatan Kota and no proper evaluation program. It is necessary to improve the planning function, the implementing and supervising function, a continuous effort on information spreading, and cross-field networking.
