Different types of sawtooth oscillations in T-10 tokamak plasmas (a = 0.3 m, R0 = 1.5 m) have been studied with a two-dimensional soft X-ray tomographic reconstruction method. The analysis of the experimental data indicates that a variety of mechanisms of the sawtooth crash can be realized in T-10. The realization of the mechanisms depends on the electron temperature profile (current density profile) in the central region of the plasma.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
