Indium tin oxide thin films with different thicknesses were deposited on polymer substrates, held at room temperature, using electron beam evaporation. The dependence of structural properties, optical properties and room temperature resistivity on the indium tin oxide film thickness was studied. X-ray diffraction illustrates the amorphous structure for all the indium tin oxide prepared films. The high roughness of the polymer substrate affects the properties of indium tin oxide films. The transmittance, the resistivity, and the optical band gap decrease with increasing the film thickness while the refractive index increases. The present indium tin oxide films are amorphous, transparent and have relatively low resistivity. These properties are suitable as transparent electrode for organic light-emitting diodes, touch screens, and in piezoelectric applications.
Growth and Characterization of Single Crystals of the Ternary Compound TIGaTe,The electrical conductivity and the Hall effect for TlGaTe, crystals have been measured over a wide temperature range. The crystal used for our study was grown by the Bridgman technique and possessed p-type conductivity. The energy gap has been found to be 0.84 eV, whereas the ionization energy has the value 0.25 eV. The variation of the Hall mobility as well as the carrier concentration with temperature was investigated. The scattering mechanism of the carrier in the whole temperature range of investigation was checked.
In this article, some Fe (III) doped hydroxyapatite samples (FeHAp) were prepared using the wet chemical method. The prepared samples were characterized via the use of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Detailed structural analysis were done by Scherrer and Williamson–Hall plot methods to detect the effect of iron on the structure of hydroxyapatite (HAp). XRD patterns showed that all samples were single phased HAp. Relations between the Fe content and the deformation of the lattice parameters, dislocation density, grain size, microstrain, crystallinity were investigated. The presence of iron in the HAp lattice is found to decrease both the crystal size and the dislocation density. Further results are presented and discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
