The complex-rotation method is used to calculate autoionisation states of H -(ISc, IP' and 3Pa) below the W = 3 hydrogenic threshold. Hylleraas-type wavefunctions are employed and 125 terms for S states and 120 terms for P states are used. The resonance eigenvalue is determined using the technique conjectured by Doolen.
A new type of indicator is described dependent upon the rise in temperature of certain materials due to the absorption of ultrasonic radiation incident upon them. Experiments are described in which the behaviour of the indicator is compared with that of a radiation pressure detector.Examples are given of its use.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
