A series of sub-monolayer vanadia-on-zirconia catalysts have been prepared and the activities of these have been measured for the selective reduction of NO with NH3. It has been found that the activity per vanadium surface species depends on the square of the vanadium surface coverage. We therefore conclude that clusters of vanadia species on the surface of the catalysts are responsible for the de-NO, activity rather than isolated vanadia surface molecules.
ChemInform is a weekly Abstracting Service, delivering concise information at a glance that was extracted from about 100 leading journals. To access a ChemInform Abstract of an article which was published elsewhere, please select a “Full Text” option. The original article is trackable via the “References” option.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
