The Cu-doped LiFePO 4 with/without carbon coating was synthesized by solgel method. The material was characterized by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy and its electrochemical properties were investigated by chargedischarge tests. For the carbon coated sample presents a high uniformity and a particle size around 50100 nm. Electrochemical tests show that the specified capacity was 102 mAh/g measured 0.25 C (1.5 mA) regime discharge rate, voltage range (2.53.7 V). Optimization of this composite would be required, but the Cu doping and carbon coating to LiFePO 4 showed a promising material for use as cathode material in lithium ion battery.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
