Our findings, in samples of knee and hip OA patients, indicate that the WOMAC index demonstrates better internal consistency reliability than the Lequesne counterpart, as well as equivalent test-retest reliability and construct validity.
Identification of acromioclavicular (AC) joint during arthroscopic shoulder procedures might become difficult in some cases such as obese patients or patients with severe AC joint osteoarthritic degeneration. The ultrasound-guided placement of a spinal needle in the AC joint during shoulder arthroscopy can be useful to identify the AC joint. In this way, safety and accuracy could be improved in comparison with landmark-guided technique.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
