Partial k-space sampling can be used to reduce scan time without a significant decrease in the accuracy or precision of phase-contrast flow measurements in large arteries.

Es wird über die Behandlung von 77 Patienten mit postoperativen und 5 Patienten mit spontanen Fisteln berichtet. Zum Fistelverschluβ wurden insgesamt 197 Behandlungen durchgeführt. Die Erfolgsrate lag insgesamt bei 71%. 52 Patienten wurden mit konventioneller Gastro- oder Koloskopie behandelt, in 38 (73%) Fallen gelang der Verschluβ der Fistel. 30 Patienten wurden mit einer neuen Untersuchungstechnik, der perkutanendoskopischen Intervention des Fistelganges (Fistuloskopie), untersucht und therapiert, die Erfolgsrate betrug 66%. Als prognostisch ungünstig hat sich eine Fistellänge von weniger als 1 cm und ein florider M. Crohn erwiesen. Die Okklusion von gastrointestinalen Fisteln ist nach unseren Erfahrungen in einem hohen Maβe durch endoskopische FibrinkleberApplikation zu erreichen und erspart den Patienten eine langwierige konservative Behandlung zur Abheilung der Fistel.

Naples Obstetrics Corps has distributed 3100 units of whole blood and 39 units of deplasmatized erythrocyte suspensions. Each bottle was supplied with a card relating to the symptomatology of possible transfusion reactions. 910 cards were returned, equivalent to 29.02% of the units of blood distributed. This material was used for analysing the reactions occurring in 11.3 % of the 910 transfusions, with two fatal cases for overloading of the circulation. Two cases of reactions due to incompatibility of the blood also occurred.The reactions were analysed according to the following scheme :-indications of the transfusion: medical, surgical and obstetrical. The first class was divided into hemopathy, neoplasia and other morbid states; surgery was subclassified into preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative and also according to the surgical operationabdominal, thoracic, neurosurgery, miscellaneous surgery; -types of reaction: allergic-toxic, due to group incompatibility; due to overloading of the circulation ; -interval between collection of blood and transfusion ; -relationship between incidence of the reactions and influence of the surroundings ; -relationship between donor's and receiver's age and sex; -incidence of the reactions in relation to the results of the cross tests for the group and type of the donor's and receiver's blood ; -incidence of the reactions in relation to the use of sets either to be used again or not.
