During routine necropsies performed in domestic chickens, two abnormalities were noticed in adult White Leghorn female birds; one was of the sternal keel (carina), and the other was of the cecum.
A histologic and histochemical study of the hypophyses of 44 goats was carried out. The ontogenesis of the hypophysis is described utilizing animals aged from birth to one month, ene month to six months, six months to one year, one year to three years and three years and above. Correlations are made between age, histologic structure and histochemical maturation of the hypophysis.
The capillary index of the hypophysis cerebri of goats, ranging in age from one day to over 6 years of age. Observations in rostral, middle and caudal regions were made and comparisons are made with other species.
The hypophysis cerebri of the goat was studied from a histologic and micrometric point of view. The results of this study are compared with similar studies of other ruminants.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
