In the review principles and analytical applications of conductometric, potentiometric, voltammetric and coulometric detection in streaming solutions are described, with the emphasis on dynamic interfacial techniques. Sensitivity, detection limit, linear dynamic range, response time, selectivity and stability are discussed. Favourable detector cell designs are described focussing on hydrodynamic, electrochemical and stability characteristics. Practical applications of amperometric detectors are summarized. Finally most recent developments and further trends in detector research are outlined.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
